ทำ KOH อาจพบ branching, septate hyphae อาจพบ hyphae ที่มีลํกษณะเป็นปล้องเรียกว่าarthroconidia
โดยผู้ป่วยได้ยา Griseofulvin 6 เดือนแล้ว อาจเปลี่ยนมาใช้ Itraconazole หรือ Terbinafine
